Ned Lenahan

March 22, 1961 — July 12, 2014

Edward J. ‘Ned’ Lenahan, Jr., 53, of Sugar Notch died unexpectedly on Saturday.

A lifelong resident of Sugar Notch, Ned was the youngest son of the late Edward and Kathleen Gallagher Lenahan.

A 1979 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, Ned attended Kutztown University and later worked with his father in the operation of Lenahan Oil Company.

Ned was a diehard fan of Notre Dame and the Buffalo Bills.

A brother, Kevin preceded him in death in 1991.

He will be greatly missed by his pride and joy, his children, Brendan and Kathleen; brother, James Lenahan of Mertztown; sisters, Marguerite Barket and Kelly and her husband Michael Boyle of Sugar Notch; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Celebration of Ned’s Life will be held Wednesday at 11 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at noon in the Church of Saint Aloysius. Private interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for the college funds of Ned's children.
