Mary Monahan Seibel, 98, a former resident of Ashley died Thursday at her residence in Chicago.
Born February 9, 1914 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah Cusack Monahan.
Her husband, Edmund M. Seibel died April 12, 1980. A sister, Kathryn and brothers, William and Joseph Monahan also preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her six nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and –nephews; cousins and friends.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held Saturday with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas, 226 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 9 AM.
