Mary M. Lynch, our dear sister, passed away on September 10, 2025, after her long struggle with Parkinson's Disease.
Born July 20, 1935 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Brown Lynch.
A lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre, Mary graduated from G.A.R. Memorial High School and continued her education at Wilkes University.
Mary's employment began as an office clerk at the former Isaac Long's. She then became a music librarian and receptionist at WILK Radio, where she created and recorded commercials. Later, Mary became an Executive Assistant at the RJG Law before serving as a Student Safety Aide at Wilkes University. She was fortunate to complete her employment as Executive Assistant and Receptionist at United Way of Wyoming Valley, retiring after ten years in 2010.
Passionately Pro-Life, Mary devoted more than forty years to the Pennsylvanians for Human Life Wilkes-Barre Chapter as newsletter editor. Mary crafted her work with love and compassion. Her poetry and essays called out for justice for the unborn.
Her brothers, Joseph and William, and his wife, Shirley, preceded her in death.
Her sister Nancy and brother John of Wilkes-Barre, brother Jim and his wife Ada and their children, Jim and Amy, and her husband Matt, all of Fleetwood, and nephews Bill and John of Wilkes-Barre will miss her very much.
