Louis P. Kwarcinski, 66, of Farmhouse Road in Mountain Top died Saturday at his home.
Born July 23, 1947 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Louis J. and Catherine Kratz Kwarcinski.
Lou was a 1965 graduate of Saint Nicholas High School.
An Air Force veteran he served for four years during the Vietnam Era.
After completion of his service to our country, Lou earned his baccalaureate degree from King's College.
Lou dedicated his career to the office of Luzerne County Juvenile Probation where he retired as Deputy Chief Probation Officer in 2007.
Lou was a life member of the Parish of Saint Boniface. Throughout the years he had been an active member of many church societies and was particularly proud to have served as Chairman of the parish bazaar on several occasions. Since the closure of Saint Boniface, Lou had been a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Joan Lisman; children, Mark and his wife Lisa Kwarcinski of Moosic, Andrew and his wife Sarah Kwarcinski of Mountain Top, and Beth and her husband Matt Fay of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Jack, Sophia, Joshua and Matthew; other family and friends.
Celebration of Lou’s Life will be held Tuesday at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 5 to 8 PM with a time for sharing of memories beginning at 7:30 PM.
