Leona Williams, 93, formerly of Mountain Top, died peacefully on April 6, 2024.
Born September 9, 1930 in Pittston she was the daughter of the late Leo and Anne McHugh Kelly.
A graduate of Hughestown High School and St. John's Business School, she worked at the Middle Dept. in Pittston, an insurance rating organization, where she met her future husband, Robert C. Williams, Sr. Together, they raised four children and enjoyed homes in Mountain Top, Naples, FL, and Beach Haven, NJ, where they made lasting friendships that spanned generations.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty-eight years, Robert C. Williams, Sr.; a son, Robert C. (Rick) Williams, Jr., Shavertown; daughters Barbara A. Williams, Dallas, Nancy W. Bolton, Shavertown and Abigail W. Reed, Mountaintop; four grandchildren; and a brother, Michael P. Kelly, Hilton Head, SC.
Leona's entire family is grateful for the care provided by the Highland Park Senior Living staff and The Meadows Nursing Center staff.
