Kathleen Gill, 74, a longtime resident of B'nai B'rith Apartments in Wilkes-Barre, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Born March 24, 1951 in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Reita Wright Gill.
A Saint Mary's High School graduate, Kathy continued her education at Wilkes College.
Despite the challenges that Kathy faced, she always showed remarkable fortitude. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gathering information on family genealogy. She was a Civil War buff, played countless games of Scrabble, and loved everything about England. Kathy was a woman of great faith who often prayed to the statue of Our Lady of Fatima on the rectory lawn of Saint Mary's Church in all weather conditions.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved companion, Rocco Grant.
Her brother Timothy and his wife Judy Gill of Easton; nieces Kelly and her husband Alex Bugowski, Jennifer and her husband Joshua Davis, and Katie and her husband Sean Davie; great-nieces Charlotte Davis and Madeline Bugowski; and other family and friends, including her lifelong and faithful friend Patsy Majikes Rodzinak and Godson Danny Rodzinak, will miss her very much.
A celebration of Kathy's Life will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, and a Funeral Liturgy will start at noon. Graveside services will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
