Kathleen Dudish, 69, of Larksville, died unexpectedly at home on April 7, 2026.
Kathy was born on January 21, 1957, in Edwardsville. She was a beloved sister to Carol, Barbara, and Ray, and graduated from Bishop O’Reilly High School in 1974.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Swaintek Sabecky, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Marion Dudish, and her brother-in-law, Stanley Shevock, who welcomed her home with open arms.
Kathy married her best friend, Mickey, on August 14, 1982, and they enjoyed forty-four beautiful years together. Their relationship was a true example of what a marriage should be. Together, they had two children, Amanda and Mickey, whom she loved with her whole heart. She treated her son-in-law, Eric, and daughter-in-law, Danielle, as if they were her own. Kathy was the perfect mother. Later in life, her true passion was being the best GiGi and Grammy Kathy to her grandkids.
Kathy loved to travel with her beloved husband and friends, morning chats with her workout crew at Danko’s, huge holiday gatherings with all her family, and making perfect carpet lines with her vacuum. She was the life of her own open invitation, never-ending party.
Her husband, Mickey; children, Amanda and her husband Eric Plisko, and Mickey and his wife Danielle Dudish; grandchildren, Nolan and Juliette Plisko, Braeden Mullery, and Marley and her husband Robert Zbierski; siblings, Carol Shevock, Barbara and her husband Andy Seaman, and Raymond Sabecky; brother-in-law, Gary and his wife Donna Dudish; nieces and nephews, other family and friends will miss her very much.
Kathy was a beautiful person full of life. To truly honor Kathy’s life, please have that extra glass of wine, dance on a table with your son, and book that trip.
The Celebration of Kathy’s life will take place on Saturday, April 11th, in the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola, 339 North Maple Avenue in Kingston. Visitation begins at 8 am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am.
