Joseph R. DelBalso

Joseph Rocco DelBalso, 86, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025.

Born August 16, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Daniel DelBalso, Sr. and Caroline Ciavarella DelBalso. Joe was a lifelong contributor to his family's business and community legacy.

From a young age, Joseph took an active role in the family business, beginning in the auto parts store and later expanding it into D&D Motors, representing American Motors, Jeep, and Ford. His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him into the world of commercial real estate, where he continued to build and grow with dedication and integrity.

His younger brother, Daniel DelBalso, Jr., preceded him in death.

His high school sweetheart, devoted wife of sixty-four years, and constant companion, Sandra Przekop DelBalso; daughter Donna DelBalso Amato and her son Seth Kornfeld; daughter Maria DelBalso Pollack, her husband Ken, and their children Noah, Ava, Rachael, Ethan, and Eli Pollack will miss him very much. Joe loved his daughters and grandchildren dearly and was immensely proud of the family he helped raise.

He is also survived by his loving sister, Marie Littzi, and his business partner and brother, Michael DelBalso.

Celebration of Joe's Life takes place Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Church of Saint Nicholas, 226 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM.

Rest easy, Joe. You drove through life with purpose and heart, leaving a lasting mark on every road you traveled.
