Jean Marie Ceklosky, 89, was in the presence of her loving daughter and nurses when she passed away at Highland Park Senior Living in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, March 26, 2023,
Born May 19, 1933 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Frank and Stella Sot Zegarski.
Jean was a pattern and sample maker for Alfred Angelo Wedding Gowns for many years until she started designing evening and pageant gowns and custom costumes and performing alterations at her daughter's shop, Kathy's Bridal.
Jean was a sports fan and enjoyed playing bingo, spending time at casinos, and traveling with her friends.
Jean's son-in-law, Frank J. Nardone, II, infant grandson, Frank J. Nardone, III, and sister, Helen Seitchek, preceded her in death.
Her daughter Kathy Nardone and grandsons Nicholas and his fiancée Julienne Hanley and Christopher Nardone of Plains, son MGySgt Robert Ceklosky and his wife Lisa and their children and grandchildren of Jacksonville, NC; sister, Charlotte Zegarski Zajaczkowksi of Pittston; brother, Dr, Joseph Zegarski of York; other family and friends will miss her very much.
Jean's entire family is thankful for the loving care she received from the Highland Park and Traditional Hospice staff.
Jean's family celebrates her life privately with a Funeral Mass in the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Plains.
Donations to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org, are preferred and will honor Jean's memory.
