James Joseph Durkin III, 59, of Shavertown, died peacefully at his home on Friday, February 10, 2023.
Born February 4, 1964 in Kingston he was a son of Jeanne McLaughlin Durkin of Dallas and the late James J. Durkin, Jr.
Jim graduated from Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School, Kingston, and Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.
Jim served the needs of the United States Postal Service and the Postal Inspection Service for over two decades. He was the Manager of Technical Operations for the United States Postal Inspection Service.
His sister Laura Jean Durkin preceded him in death.
His mother, Jeanne; wife Diana Williams Durkin; sister Deborah Durkin Graham and her husband Robert of Shavertown; brother Robert McLaughlin Durkin of West Palm Beach, Florida; nephew Robert J. Graham of Harveys Lake; niece Jacqueline J. Graham of Denver, Colorado; other family and friends will miss him very much.
Jim's family will celebrate his life privately with services and interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
