Francesca Zafarana

Francesca Marina Zafarana, 74, of Jenkins Township died Wednesday, April 13, 2016.

Born August 20, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York she was a daughter of the late Peter and Emilia Fera Aronne.

Francesca was an honest, faithful, loving and caring person who made a wonderful wife and mother.

She was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas.

Her brother, Francesco Aronne preceded her in death.

Francesca will be greatly missed by her husband, Giuseppe Zafarana; daughter, Catherine Marie Pia Zafarana of Kingston; sister, Anne Carbone of Westchester, New York; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Celebration of Francesca’s Life will begin Monday with visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and continue there Tuesday with gathering at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas. Interment will be in Saint Nicholas Cemetery in Shavertown.
