Eugene M. Suda, 71, of Buttonwood died Thursday.

Born November 11, 1942 in Larksville he was a son of the late Joseph and Katherine Suda.

An Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, he honorably served our country from 1961 to 1967.

A daughter, Sharon Lynn Suda died in 2006, step-son, Sgt. Harold J. Smith died in 1992 and longtime companion, Margaret Lee died in 2000.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Eugene M. Suda, Jr. and his fiancé Samantha Kolesnik of Buttonwood, Jo Ann and her husband Les Long of Trout Run and Kathy and her husband Bill Owens of Beaufort, South Carolina; step-children, Brenda and her husband Mike Grabowski of Nanticoke, Donna and her husband Carl Ryan of Wellsboro, Marie and her husband Kevin Roupp of Arnot, Bill Smith and his girlfriend Pam of Liberty, Kim An Simm, widow of Harold, of Seattle, Washington and Robert and his wife Beverly Smith of Bradenton, Florida; former wife, Jo Ann Suda of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, other family and friends.

Celebration of Eugene’s Life will be held Tuesday at 10 AM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Monday from 4 to 7 PM.
