Dorothy A. Praetorius Ritsick of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully on Friday.
Born in Forty Fort she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Madden Praetorius.
Dorothy was a graduate of Forty Fort High School.
Before retiring in 1968 to raise her daughter, Dorothy was a clerical supervisor for the water division of Pennsylvania Gas & Water Company.
Dorothy was a member of the Parish of Saint Robert Bellarmine and a communicant at the Church of Saint Aloysius.
Her husband, Edward J. Ritsick died December 12, 1998. A sister, Elizabeth Gill and brother, George Praetorius also preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Robin Ritsick of Wilkes-Barre; brothers, William and his wife Terry Praetorius of Long Island, New York, and Gerald and his wife Dolores Praetorius of Levittown; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Ted and his wife Barbara Ritsick and Joe and his wife Marion Ritsick of Wilkes-Barre, and Tom Gill of Swoyersville; nieces and nephews.
Dorothy’s family will celebrate her life privately. Interment will be in Saint Ignatius Cemetery in Pringle.
