Dolores C. Kozick, 98, of Wilkes-Barre, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Born July 4, 1928, in Warrior Run, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Catherine Simonovich and graduated from Warrior Run High School.
Dolores was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to raising her family and making them the center of her world. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Elmer "Tippy" Kozick, who passed away in 2005.
Dolores enjoyed hosting holidays and attending family gatherings and celebrations. An avid reader of historical romance novels, she enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and keeping up on local and national news. She was famous for her banana cake, which was always a special request for birthdays. Dolores was a dedicated fan of Philadelphia Phillies baseball and UConn Huskies basketball and often attended her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved traveling to Connecticut and Cape May, New Jersey, and was a long-time member of St. Therese Church in Wilkes-Barre until its closing, later joining St. Nicholas - St. Mary's Church.
Dolores is survived by her devoted family: her daughters, Sandra Zarenski and her husband, Thomas of Rocky Hill, CT, and Patricia Kozick of Wilkes-Barre; her son, Dr. Richard Kozick and his wife, Trish of Danville; her cherished grandchildren, Rebecca and her husband Eric Moffett, Andrew Zarenski and his wife Dr. Danielle Sliva, Justin and his wife Jessica Kozick, Dr. Zachary and his wife Annie Kozick, Shane Kozick, and Connor Kozick; her precious great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Juliet, Noah, Sophia, and Isabelle; numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friend Mary Alice Brokenshire.
Celebration of Dolores's Life begins Sunday, September 13, 2026, with visitation from 5 to 7 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. It continues on Monday, September 14, 2026, with a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church of Saint Nicholas - Saint Mary, 226 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.
