Diane M. Eydler, 74, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Born November 28, 1951, in Philadelphia she was a daughter of the late Dorothy Audelevicz and Charles Zajaczkowski.
Diane held a Bachelor's Degree and a Professional Certificate in Business Management from Dartmouth University.
She made a lasting impact as a credit professional at Kraft/Nabisco. It was always clear how much she cared about her work and the people around her. She loved what she did, and she did it with energy, candor, and strength. Diane volunteered at General Hospital after retiring and took her dog, Chloe, a standard poodle, to nursing homes as a therapy dog.
Kindness, caring, and generosity defined this special woman. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but reveled in privacy at times, taking walks with her puppies Spencer, Reese, and Archie, and, of course, Bill. Diane faithfully supported her husband, Bill’s tennis activities, whether he was playing, coaching the King’s College teams, or she was leading the kitchen crew and earning the title of Mrs. Coach on the annual team trips to Florida.
Diane always had faith in people and loved spending time with her family and her thirteen puppies over the years. She enjoyed traveling to Lake Tahoe, St. Maarten, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, London, Europe, Alaska, and especially River Cruises on the Danube.
Her husband of fifty-four years, Bill; sister, Tina and her husband Carl Lisman; nieces Abby and her husband Chris Loftus, and Michelle and her husband John Newdeck; nephew David and his wife Val Lisman; great-nieces and nephews Patrick, Connor, Madelyn, Jacob, and Lexy; other family and friends will miss her very much.
Diane’s family extends their gratitude to her healthcare teams: Dr. Bruce Saidman; Dr. Abu Zeinah, New York Presbyterian; Dr. Margaret Kasner, Jefferson; Dr. Usama Gergias, Jefferson; Dr. Robert Decker, LVHC; Dr. Roy Gernhardt. And, special thanks to Judy Diaz, Joan Carter, and Theresa Johnson for so much help along the way.
Celebration of Diane’s Life takes place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Visitation begins at 4:30 PM, and a prayer service begins at 7 PM.
