Daniel T. Hughes, 70, of Spruce Street in Wilkes-Barre went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday.
Born 27 April 1938 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Daniel and Mildred Davies Hughes.
He was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School.
Danny was an electrician and member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 163.
He was a long-time member of Welsh Bethel Baptist Church where he served as trustee and Landmark Lodge #442 of the Free and Ancient Masons.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Flyte; children, Tamre Hughes Reese and her husband James of Virginia, Randy Hughes and his companion Debbie Bates of Punta Gorda, Florida, Tracey Hughes and her companion Lenny Cornish of Wilkes-Barre, and Brandon Hughes and his wife Karen of Swoyersville; grandchildren, Brittney Hughes of South Carolina, Dylan and Rozlyn Reese of Virginia and Michael Horvath of Wilkes-Barre; great-grandson, Brayden Hughes of South Carolina.
All are invited to join in the Celebration of Danny’s Life led by Pastor Don Hartshorne on Saturday at 7 p.m. at M.J. McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre.
