Christine Ann Balberchak, 67, of Washington Square in Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, December 7, 2025.Born in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Daniel J. Balberchak, Sr. and Phyllis (Brushkoski) Balberchak.
Christine was raised in Swoyersville and Nanticoke, graduated from John S. Fine High School in 1976, and later resided in Forty Fort, Exeter, and Wilkes-Barre. She dedicated her life to assisting others as a receptionist, a private nanny, and through her domestic services for local church rectories and private clients.
Christine very much enjoyed family gatherings, which often involved spirited games of 500 Rummy and Uno. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, gatherings with friends, and occasional Bingo outings.
Her sister Laura Lesoine, brother Lucas Balberchak, and sister-in-law Debra Balberchak preceded her in death.
Her sisters and brothers, Linda McKenna and her husband Justin, Daniel J. Balberchak Jr. and his wife Donna, Diane Brace, Phyllis August and her husband Joe, Mary Balberchak and her partner Andy, David Balberchak, Karen Balberchak, Mark Balberchak and his wife Cindy, John Balberchak and his wife Mary, Stephen Balberchak and his wife Gail, and Matthew Balberchak, and nieces, nephews, other family and friends will miss her very much.
Celebration of Christine's life takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Church of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, 116 Hughes Street in Swoyersville. Visitation begins at 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
Donations to St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre are preferred and will honor Christine's memory.
