Brian W. Leonard

Brian W. Leonard, 70, of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Born November 11, 1946 in Orange, New Jersey he was a son of the late James R. and Catherine Collins Leonard.

A graduate of Essex Catholic High School, Brian continued his education for three years at King’s College.

Brian, along with a group of friends, owned and operated a blueberry farm in Maine for a few years, before embarking on a long career as a chef with various restaurants and institutions throughout Wyoming Valley and the Poconos. He retired a few years ago.

Brian was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas and Saint Conrad’s Y.M.S. He was a voracious reader.

Brian will be greatly missed by his brother, Barry and his wife Ruth Leonard of Tennessee; niece, Mary Kate and her husband Chad Martin of Texas; nephew, Jamey and his wife Jessica Leonard of Missouri; numerous cousins and friends, including his good friends, Bill, Tom and Carl.

Brian’s life will be celebrated in a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
