Brian Timothy Hirthler, 59, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026.

Born November 4, 1966 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of Mary Mulvey Hirthler and the late Harold E. Hirthler.

Brian graduated from E.L. Meyers High School and continued his education at Luzerne County Community College. He joined his father at Hirthler Painting and Decorating and later went out on his own as an independent painting contractor.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Hap; stepson Thomas Painter; infant brother, James; and brothers-in-law, Robert Frail and Thomas Jones.

His mother, Mary; son Brian and his fiancée Jaden Burke; stepson Arnold Balz; sisters Mary Ellen Mutarelli and her husband John, Jane Ann Frail, Patricia Jones, Megan Zych and her husband Ed; brothers Harold and his wife Kathy and Michael and his wife Kathleen; and other family and friends will miss him very much.

Brian’s family will celebrate his life privately.
