Anne M. Templeton, 84, of Wilkes-Barre died Thursday at Little Flower Manor.
Born January 29, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late Leo M. and Madeline George Reidlinger.
A graduate of Saint Ann's Academy, Anne earned her baccalaureate from Misericordia University.
A professional educator, Anne taught a Saint Nicholas Elementary School and at several schools of the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, including Heights, Kistler, Dodson and Palmer elementary schools. She loved teaching and was truly committed to helping her students excel in the classroom and in life.
Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and beloved pets, Ruby, Taffy, Pepper and Snoopy.
Her husband, Richard J., infant son, Christopher and daughter-in-law, Eileen Templeton preceded her in death.
Anne will be greatly missed by her children, Richard L. and his wife Deborah Templeton of Danville, Leo E. Templeton of Dallas and Madlene and her husband Dean James of Shavertown; grandsons, Cory Templeton of Dallas and Brandon James of Shavertown; other family and friends.
Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held Monday at 12 PM from McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 1 PM in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
