Alexander Lee Stolarik ,70, passed from this life to his next on April 21, 2026. Born April 11, 1956, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Alexander and Ruth Lamoreaux Stolarik, he lived all his life in the Wyoming Valley area.
Alex graduated from Nanticoke High School and served in the United States Army, where he earned badges in rifle sharpshooter and parachuting.
Alex worked at Harte Hanks all his adult life, retiring when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2010. He fought a long, hard battle for several years to survive and beat the cancer. Since then, he has been a loving, devoted caregiver to his wife of twenty-eight years.A grandson, Cody Reilly, brother, Paul Stolarik, and sister, Patricia Palmer, preceded him in death.
Alex is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bender; daughter, Tina Jacobs; grandsons, Noah and Tyler Jacobs; and great-grandsons, Owen and Hunter Jacobs; step-children, Christina Huften, John Bender, Timothy Bender, Linda Czaijkowski, Jessica Bender, and Katrina Bender; nine step-grandchildren; siblings, Ruthann Jacobson of Texas, twin-brother John Stolarik of Wilkes-Barre, Michael and his wife Kathryn Stolarik of North Carolina, Kenneth and his wife Nila Stolarik of Arizona, Marie and her husband Richard Ogin of Oklahoma, James Stolarik of North Carolina, Edith and her husband David Hinds of Colorado, and Maureen Stolarik of North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Mary Heaps of Nescopeck, and Denise Hutchinson of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Celebration of Alexander's Life takes place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with visitation from 3 to 5 PM at McLaughlin's, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre. Military Honors will be presented at 4 PM, followed by a prayer service and time for sharing.
