Sophie (Niedzwicki) Nedwick

Sophie M. Nedwick, 96, of Nanticoke died Thursday at Birchwood Nursing Center.
Born April 16, 1914 in Nanticoke she was a daughter of the late Felix and Mary Winiarsko Niedzwicki.
Before retiring, Sophie was employed by the former Blue Bird Restaurant in Nanticoke for many years.
Sophie was a member of the Parish of Saint Faustina Kowalska and long time member of the Church of Holy Trinity.
Sisters, Genny Fedrick, Lottie Medura, Anna Petroski and Sarah Zoltewicz and a brother, John Nedwick preceded her in death.
Nieces and nephews are surviving.
Celebration of Sophie’s Life will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Church of Holy Trinity in Nanticoke. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Nanticoke.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Wednesday at 9 AM
