Robert H. Morgan, 89, of Birchwood Hills in Plains passed away Tuesday.

Born May 28, 1920 in Reading he was a son of the late Walter C. and Cecilia Reicheneder Morgan.

Robert was a graduate of Saint Peter's High School in Reading.

An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he served four years, including two in the Asia-Pacific Theater, ending in Okinawa, Japan.

Bob was a plumber and member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 524.

Mr. Morgan was a member of the Parish of Saint Therese in Wilkes-Barre, Kingston V.F.W., D.A.V. and American Legion.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, the former Mary Naomi Scureman; sister-in-law, Marion Scureman of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews, Carol Scureman Matchinga of Concord, Ohio, Betsy Scureman Smith of Hubbard, Ohio, J. Michael Scureman of Upper St. Clair, Robert P. Scureman of Library and James J. Scureman of Cranberry Township.

Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held Saturday at 09:00 AM from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 09:30 AM in Church of Saint Therese. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Twp..
