Rita Theresa Sheridan, 67, of Blackman Street in Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
Born 24 May 1941 in Wilkes-Barre she was a daughter of the late John and Theresa Cavanaugh Sheridan.
Rita was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School.
Prior to her illness, she was employed by Trion Industries and Wilkes-Barre Publishing Company.
Rita was a good friend to many and always tried to help others in any way that she could.
Sisters, Margaret Domkowski, Mary Derr and Betty Heiderbring and brothers, Raymond and James Sheridan preceded her in death.
Rita was the loving mother of Thomas C. Sheridan of Wilkes-Barre, William T. Sheridan of Wilkes-Barre and Edward Gomulka Sheridan and his wife Francine of Clarks Summit,
Grandmother of Suzanne Hilty, Joshua and Christopher Sheridan and Emma Baines
Sister of: Regina Rowles, Agnes Hulsizer and Veronica Thieman and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews
A celebration of Rita’s life will be held Friday at 09:30 AM at McLaughlin Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call Thursday 6 to 9 p.m.
