Joyce Louise Higbie Twist, 75, of Elmira, New York went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 29th.
Born July 12, 1934 in Corning, New York she was a daughter of the late David and Mildred VanDusen Higbie.
Joyce was a graduate of Savona Central High School.
Before retiring, she was employed by Corning Glass Works for many years.
Joyce enjoyed sports and was active with company softball, volleyball and bowling teams throughout her career, and loved beating everyone at card games.
She will be forever missed and always live in the hearts of her children, Cathleen Strang of Elmira, New York and Michael Twist of Binghamton, New York; grandchildren, Amy Chilson, Michael and Richard Pacheco and Darcelle Strang, Jennifer Twist Pruitt, Michael and Kaitlin Twist; great-grandchildren, William, Nicholas, Dominique, Konrad and Tanisha Wallace, Michael Pacheco, Sonyae Strang, Gabriella Pacheco, Myron Pacheco; sister, Joanne Straulka; brother, John Higbie and several nieces and nephews.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
