John M. Corgan

John M. Corgan, of McDonald St. West Nanticoke died Tuesday morning at Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice at St. Luke’s Villa in Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 13, 1932 in Kingston John was the son of the late Cyril and Leonora Saxe Corgan. He was a member of the 1950 graduating class at Kingston High School. After school John had proudly served with the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean Conflict. At the completion of his military service John became an employee at the Family owned and operated John B. Corgan Mining Company which later became known as Northeast Energy Company based in Wilkes-Barre Township.
John had been an active member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston and later at St. Vincent’s Church, Plymouth. He was a member of the Bishop O’Reilly Fathers Club and was a Founding Member of the Plymouth Township Recreation Association.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Dorothy A. Moseman in November of 2000.
Surviving are sons Mark F. Corgan and his wife Barbara, Annandale N.J. Cyril W. Corgan and his wife Renee, Duryea John P. Corgan and his wife Christine, Shavertown Daughter Theresa Conway and her husband Charles, Pleasantville N.Y. Grandchildren Bradley Corgan, Sondra Corgan, Katelyn Kotsur, Danielle Corgan, John Conway and Sean Conway.
Funeral will be held Saturday Aug. 18 at 8:30 AM from McLaughlin’s - The Family Funeral Service 142 S. Washington St. Wilkes-Barre with a funeral mass at 9:30 AM in St. Ignatius Church N. Maple Ave. Kingston. Interment will be in St Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's on Friday from 4 to7.
