James Burke

James Richard Burke, Jr., 52, of Carlisle Street in Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday at Hospice Community Care.

Born November 9, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York he was a son of Barbara Johnson Burke of Wilkes-Barre and the late James Richard Burke.

Jim was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School.

I addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Stiles Burke and second wife, Karen Rogers Burke.

He will be greatly missed by his mother, Barbara Johnson Burke; daughter, Heather and her husband Randy Kreitzer of Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Tyler and Jaden; sisters, Bonnie Sult and her companion Roscoe Lund, Jr. of Granby, Vermont and Joyce Cerase of Hunlock Creek; brothers, Michael and his wife Kim Burke of Wilkes-Barre, Edward Burke of Hunlock Creek and Kevin and his wife Janet Burke of Wilkes-Barre; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and friends.

Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre.

Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Hospice Community Care, 601 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, 18704-3701.
