Eleanor Klein

Eleanor (Norzie) Klein, 84 passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at Manor Care in Kingston.
Born July 14, 1928 she was a daughter of the late John and Nellie Madden Klein.

Eleanor was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Villanova University and Catholic University.

After serving in Korea as an Air Force nurse, Eleanor spent the majority of her life in Philadelphia. She worked primarily as a nursing administrator in Germantown Home and Celestial Village nursing homes.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her brother, James Klein and sisters, Ruth Amesbury, Rita Bustin and Mary Dunbar.

She will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews; Mary Rita Pugliese, Jack Bustin, Charles Bustin, Robert Bustin, Kathleen Taroli, William Amesbury, Norine Amesbury, John Dunbar, Mary Ann Rosengrant, Mary Ellen Fulton and James Dunbar; and great-nieces and – nephews.

Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will be held Thursday at 12:30 PM from McLaughlin’s – The Family Funeral Service, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM in the Church of Saint Aloysius. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.

Visitation will be held at McLaughlin’s on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
