Edward Spence, 83, died November 5, 2019.
Born October 14, 1936 in Nanticoke, PA he was the only son of the late Searle Spence and Beatrice Spence and was a graduate of Newark Technical High School.
An Air Force veteran of 1955–1958, he served as airline mechanic during his time at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Edward was a machinist and loved to work with his hands.
Edward was a member of United Steel Workers Union and a civilian employee for the US Coast Guard. Edward enjoyed painting, drawing, building models, model railroading, cars and reading. He loved Frank Sinatra and listening to talk radio.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Judith A. Spence.
He will be greatly missed by son Edward Spence; son Danny Spence; son Michael Spence; daughter-in-law Cyda Spence; daughter-in-law Susan Spence; daughter-in-law Kirsten Spence; granddaughter Ellysha Spence; grandson Yan Bispo Spence; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Edward's entire family is grateful for the care provided by healthcare professionals.
A family celebration of Edward's life will conclude with burial in Edge Hill Cemetery.
