Edward A. McGinley

Edward August McGinley, 77, of Tunkhannock died peacefully in the presence of his family on Sunday, February 7th at his home.
Born January 22, 1933 in Wilkes-Barre he was a son of the late Dr. Edward L. and Regina Trapold McGinley.
Edward was a loving and proud husband, father and grandfather who inspired his family and many close to him with his work ethic, dignity and, most of all, his kindness.
Surviving are his wife, the former Carol Hallas; children, Holly Madara of Churchville, Cathy Franko of Tunkhannock, Edward McGinley of Pleasant View, Utah and Anthony McGinley of Drums; eight grandchildren; sisters, Ellen and Jean McGinley of Wilkes-Barre.
A private committal service and interment will be held in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.
Family and friends are invited to share in the Celebration of Edward’s Life on Thursday from 4:30 to 9 PM at the residence of Anthony McGinley, 131 Debbie Drive in Drums.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to Wyoming County Cancer Society, P.O. Box 629, Tunkhannock, 18657
