James Gunsauls

December 21, 1925 — January 7, 2015

James Gunsauls, 89, of the East End Section of Wilkes-Barre died Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born December 21, 1925 in Carbondale he was a son of the late Roy and Margaret Moser Gunsauls.

An Army veteran of World War II he served in Italy as part of the European Theater of Operations.

Jimmy was employed by HNB Mortgage in Downtown Wilkes-Barre and previously worked for Eberhard Faber Manufacturing for many years until its closing.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Austin Gunsauls, daughter, JoAnn McNulty, sister, Jean Warfield and brothers, Julius and Glen Gunsauls.

He will be greatly missed by his granddaughter, Casey McNulty of New York City; son-in-law, Jack McNulty of East End; brothers, Louis ‘Butch’ and his wife Audrey Gunsauls and Cyril Gunsauls; longtime companion, Mae Lyons; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Celebration of Jimmy’s Life will be held Saturday with visitation from 9 to 11 AM at McLaughlin’s, 142 South Washington Street in Wilkes-Barre and services at 11:30 AM in the Chapel at Saint Mary's Cemetery.
