Anna E. Lewis

Anna E. Lewis, 90, of Kingston died Monday, April 6, 2015. She had been a guest at Saint Therese Residence and Little Flower Manor for the past two-and-a-half years.

Born May 31, 1924 in Baltimore, Anna lived most of her life there before living in Silver Spring for a time and then relocating to Kingston in 1973.

Anna was a member of the Parish of Saint Nicholas and was active with the Kingston Senior Center for many years. She volunteered her time at Catholic Social Services and the former Nesbitt and Mercy hospitals.

Her husband, Palmer A. Lewis, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre died May 2, 1991. A sister, Jimmie Janka and brother, George Watkins also preceded her in death.

Anna will be greatly missed by her daughter, Barbara and her husband John Belmont of Reston, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael and his wife Tracey Belmont of Knoxville, Tennessee, Susan and her husband Nicholas Milano of Washington, DC, and Jill and her husband Benjamin Kaufman of Denver, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Sophia Belmont, Emma Kate and Grace Milano, and Abigail Kaufman; sisters, Charlotte Yost, Patricia Fellows, Dorothy Faulkner and Dolores Corbett; sister-in-law, Mary Watkins; other family and friends.

Celebration of Anna’s Life will be held Friday with a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street in Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
